The Grotte del Bue Marino and Cala Luna beach are the two spots that have really put the town of Dorgali on the map as a tourist destination in Sardinia.
Thanks to the passenger transportation service offered by the Pegaso, you can reach them at the lowest prices, spending a day simply relaxing and exploring them at your leisure

Thanks to our service, which offers transportation to Cala Luna, you can set off for the beaches at two different times. The scheduled departure times for visiting the beaches are 10:00am and 11:00am. During the journey, you can use the on-board bar service and even buy a packed lunch to enjoy at lunchtime. At Cala Luna, you will find a refreshment point inside the codula. There is also a beach umbrella, deckchair and beach equipment hire service on the beach. The return times to the port are at 5:30pm and 6:30pm (leaving the dock of the beach at 5:00pm and 6:00pm respectively)
Departures: 10:00am and 11:00am
Return: 5:00pm and 6:00pm
Travel time: around 20 minutes
You can visit the caves in the morning before going on to stop at the beach by buying the municipal ticket that is issued directly at the port. By purchasing this municipal ticket, you can walk down an 800-metre path within the southern branch of the Grotta del Bue Marino lasting about 50 minutes. At the end of the visit, you can get back on board the Pegaso to continue with your day, so that you can enjoy a stop at Cala Luna where you can relax until 5:00pm (first return) or 6:00pm (second and last return).
N.B.
The mini cruise aboard the Pegaso includes 3 stops on various beaches + a visit to the Grotte del Bue Marino (which is optional and possible on the first service that departs at 10:00am)
Take a look at the ”Mini cruise in the Gulf” section or scroll through our article describing ”A typical day on the Pegaso”
If you have already made your booking and you are unable to make it or have just had second thoughts, you can change the date of the excursion by letting us know the day before the excursion. In the event of a request for cancellation less than 7 days before departure, you would only lose the deposit for the booking paid at the time of booking, equal to 30% of the total ticket cost.
In case of adverse weather conditions anticipated by the weather forecast, we will be sure to advise you on how you can move your reservation to the next available day. Should this be unsuitable for your requirements, you can opt to receive a full refund of your booking deposit.
Our packed lunches are available at the on-board bar and offer an ever-changing menu. As an alternative to the packed lunches, you can purchase food and drinks individually. We offer a series of hot and cold products, various types of sandwiches, and vegetarian and vegan products. A wide selection of drinks is also available. You can choose to eat your lunch aboard the boat or during one of the beach stops. At Cala Luna and Cala Mariolu, there are two refreshment points.
For our mini cruise services, the departure times are 10:00am and 11:00am. These services return at 6:00pm
Those departing on the 10:00am service will also have the opportunity to visit the Grotta del Bue Marino in the morning.

After our stop at the beach, we must not leave any sign that we have been there. Aboard the Pegaso, you will find an efficient rubbish sorting system which we will later dispose of properly once we have returned to port.
The temperature in the Grotta del Bue Marino is around 16-18 degrees. We recommend that you wear a t-shirt, especially if you have just eaten, as there is a marked difference in temperature between inside and outside the cave, especially in August. The path is easy to walk and you can walk it in flip-flops. However, we would not recommend going barefoot
Your four-legged friends are welcome aboard the Pegaso. On the beaches on this stretch of the Costa di Baunei, there is a ban on bringing animals to the beach, and as such, they will have to spend the day aboard the boat. It is absolutely mandatory for you to bring their lead with you.
The beaches on the Gulf of Orosei all have a different shoreline composition. As for the places we will be stopping at, at Cala Luna you will find a mixture of fine sand and pebbles. At Cala Gabbiani and Cala Mariolu, you will find the chalky grit typical of Ispuligidenie. In any case, we recommend that anyone who has sensitive feet should bring rock or jelly shoes with them.
The Pegaso is the perfect boat for families with children - even very young ones - thanks to the wide open spaces, toilet facilities and shaded lower deck, which means that you can get out of the sun whenever you want to during the journey. The seats are numbered and you will always find somewhere to sit during the mini cruise. It is best to leave any prams or pushchairs aboard the boat before going down to the beach, as there are no walkways in the coves.
There is no limit to what you can bring aboard the Pegaso during your excursion. That said, please consider that the rules of common sense apply in this situation. We recommend that you travel light so that every stop on the beach doesn’t feel like moving house. You can bring your beach equipment and umbrellas with you.
We offer reductions for families with children. Up to the age of 3, children can come aboard for free. Between 4 and 10 years old, we offer reductions of up of 60% which vary according to the seasons.
